Publication Update for Crusade of the Sword – Book Three
The release of Crusade of the Sword: Book Three has officially been rescheduled to April 21, 2026.
Due to an exceptionally full schedule and ongoing commitments, additional time is required to complete the layout and final production stages of the manuscript. The revised publication date will allow for the entire month of March to finalize formatting and prepare the book for distribution through Amazon and other retail platforms.
Also, there is encouraging news: paperback and Kindle editions have experienced a modest but noticeable increase in sales over the past two weeks. Continued reader support in these formats remains deeply appreciated.
Further updates regarding Crusade of the Sword: Book Three will be shared as production progresses toward the April 21, 2026 release date.
League of the Sword
Five Clans. One Prophecy. A World on the Edge of Ruin.
For over two-thousand years, the five surviving elven clans have been locked in bitter conflict, their ancient grudges staining the soil of Mael with blood. But a long-foretold prophecy now threatens to bring about their final end: when the fires of Mount Hade awaken, Zarenthrix—the god of the underworld—shall rise, bringing devastation in his wake. To survive, the clans must do what they have never done: unite. But unity comes at a cost. Old wounds run deep, and trust is scarce. As they struggle to reconcile their past, a new threat descends upon their lands. The Ashen, servants of Zarenthrix, have invaded, determined to shatter any hope of alliance and ensure the prophecy’s dark end. Amid betrayal, warfare, and looming annihilation, the elves must confront their inner demons and forge a new destiny or lose their world to shadow and flame.

Kevin F.J. Harris
Kevin F.J. Harris is a product designer, classical music composer, and fantasy author with a lifelong interest in creativity, storytelling, and world building. He began studying piano at the age of seven and composed his first original piece by eleven. Music was his earliest creative outlet and continues to influence his writing through its emphasis on rhythm, emotional flow, and long-form structure.
In 2011, Harris began developing a fantasy setting that would later become the world of Crusade of the Sword. Initially conceived as The Elves of Endalia, work on the project stopped in 2012, then was rediscovered in 2021 and grew into an expansive series. His background in classical composition and design shapes his writing style, combining detailed world building with thematic depth and a strong sense of scale. Harris poured a lot of himself into the story, with some scenes based on those he experienced in real life, and some of those being very painful.
The first book in the Crusade of the Sword series was published in March 2022, followed by the second in March 2024. Together, they establish the foundation of a larger narrative focused on conflict, sacrifice, and the struggle between corruption and redemption. The third and final installment is currently in development and is anticipated for release in early 2026.
When he is not writing or composing, Harris works as a product designer, bringing the same attention to structure, clarity, and human experience to his professional work. Across disciplines, his creative philosophy remains constant: worlds should feel lived in, stories should carry weight, and every choice, whether musical or narrative, should resonate long after the final note or page.
In addition to design, writing, and composing, Harris is a practicing non-denominational Christian; enjoys exploring immersive worlds in World of Warcraft, which he has played for over twenty years; and he also has a strong interest in Swedish culture and has been studying the language for over two years.
